EYELINER PRE-APPOINTMENT

2 DAYS PRIOR

  • Do not dye or perm your eyelashes for 2 days prior to your procedure

24 HOURS PRIOR

  • Do not wear contact lenses during the procedure and for the next 24 hours

Bring sunglasses to wear home as your eyes may be sensitive to light after the treatment

Inform your cosmetic tattoo professional about any eye surgery (cataracts, lasik) that you may have had.

  • DAY 1

    You’ll love your new eyeliner!

Your eyeliner color is approximately 30% darker than it will be when it’s healed. It will also appear slightly larger than it will heal in just a few days. This is due to color oxidation as well as a small amount of swelling and it is a normal part of your healing process. You will have no trouble driving home and going about the rest of your day normally. It’s unlikely that anyone will notice you’ve had your eyeliner permanently done except for possibly those you know very well.

  • DAYS 2-3

Your color will darken temporarily as the pigment oxidizes and thin scabs will form.

You may wake up slightly puffy but you can remedy this by sleeping on an incline or applying a cool compress. Your eyeliner will feel tight and dry, but not painful.

  • DAYS 3-5

Your eyeliner will begin flaking until there is no scabbing left.

You want to allow healing to shed naturally. Once all scabbing has finished flaking, it is common for the color to appear lighter than it will eventually heal. This lighter color is only temporary as your freshly healed skin is hiding the true color underneath. Over the next several weeks your eyeliner color will bloom.

  • DAY 42

At 6 weeks your eyeliner is fully healed.

It’s now okay for you to come back in for your follow up. Any adjustments such as darkening the color or altering the shape can be done at this appointment

LASH PRE-APPOINTMENT

DO

Shower prior to your appointment.

Eliminating unnecessary contact with water or steam within the first 48 hours will insure that the bond between the semi permanent lashes and your natural lashes has enough time to properly set.

Wear comfortable clothing.

You will lying down for 60 to 90 minutes with dimmed lights and soft music as your backdrop during your eyelash application, comfortable clothes will allow you to make the most of this time to relax and be pampered.

Remove your contacts.

Your eyes will be closed during the application of your eyelash extensions.  To avoid any discomfort, it is always suggested that contacts are removed allowing eyes to be comfortable in a natural and rested state.

Turn off your cellphone just prior to your appointment.

This is truly a time to sit back and relax. Ringing cellphones will only interrupt your lash service and potentially disturb the restful treatment of others. Enjoy the “me” time, and let your lash transformation begin.

DON'T

Wear makeup.

Makeup products worn close to the eye will need to be removed prior to the lash application process. Coming to your appointment with a clean face will save time and eliminate the need for you lash stylist to remove your eye makeup.

Apply face creams or sunblock to the eye area.

The oils within many moisturizers and sunblock can prevent the eyelash glue from properly adhering to your natural lashes, dramatically reducing the longevity of your eyelash extensions.

Wear mascara.

Natural lashes must be fresh and clean in order to be properly prepped to receive eyelash extensions.  No mascara!

    • Avoid getting them wet for up to 48 hours after application.
    • Do not rub or touch your eyes.
    • Clean with eyelash foam cleanser every 3 days
    • Brush through your eyelash tips in the morning
    • Do not use oil based products around or on the eyes
    • Do not sleep on your face
    • Stay on top of your infills (recommended every 2 - 3 weeks)
